Privatise and Deregulate

Turning out the light

The federal government has now mandated that Australians are going to switch away from the evils of incandescent light bulbs. The debate is raging over at Catallaxy and the LDP would like your opinion in our new online poll.

Right Wing Extremists

February 7, 2007

What is right wing? Most people will say it is obviously not socialism or communism, but includes fascism and Nazism.

However, Nazism and fascism have quite a lot in common with socialism and communism, as confirmed by the policies of the National Socialist German Workers Party.

The LDP will inevitably be labelled as right wing because of its anti-left policies. However, it also has anti-right policies.  Compare them to the policies of the Nazi party and there is practically nothing in common.

The LDP is not a right wing party. Nor is it left wing. It is simply a pro-liberty party. Anyone who says otherwise does not know left from right.

Revised Draft Welfare Policy

February 6, 2007

[This has been given its own thread to make commenting easier. All prior comments are still there.]

I received a lot of feedback through this forum but also via email. A lot of the feedback conflicted. Some said make the policy a lot shorter. Some said to add a lot of additional discussion of issues. In the end I kept the basic document I had written previously and tightened it up based on feedback received. Please comment on the revised version. Read the rest of this entry »
