Unlike above-the-line Senate votes where preference deals are pre-arranged among the parties and candidates, House of Representatives votes remain entirely under voter control. Voters can allocate their preferences any way they choose so long as every box is sequentially numbered.
Nonetheless, large numbers of people prefer to know what the parties recommend and are willing to follow their advice. The LDP is no different – we have had many queries asking where to direct preferences.
Our recommendations for each seat in which we are standing candidates are now available on the LDP website. They are provided as downloadable A4 PDF files, for candidates and supporters to print and distribute.
